Sedona is such a special place for amazing petroglyphs. However, without knowing exactly where they are, it is not easy to see them! Most of them are hidden, off trail. I have seen several sites of petroglyphs with friends and hiking groups. Today, my friend, Gary, took me to Loy Canyon with two of his friends, Louis and another Gary.
As you can see, the petroglyphs are amazing, hidden along the canyon wall of the main trail. There are so many of them that in the end I became very “picky”—only took pictures of the exceptionally good ones. 🙂
The three hiking companions are also fun to hike with. Not only they love the outdoor as much as I do, but also they are very interesting. Gary is a well known published writer; Louis is a renowned musician; and the other Gary is a retired, yet still passionate physicist.
I had a wonderful time, surrounded by amazing petroglyphs and amongst the amazing guys. 🙂
