Grand Canyon National Park is only a little more than 2 hours away from Sedona. However, since I’ve been there a couple of times before and frankly speaking, it is not one of my favorite National Parks, I didn’t go back until yesterday. I am leaving the area soon. It seems a shame not to visit one of the most famous National Park so close to me, again.
One of the reasons that I am not a big fan of Grand Canyon is because I can never take a good picture there. The canyon is so huge, it seems almost “flat” in photographs. Nevertheless, it was such a great day—sunny and 60F—I had a great time. I hiked South Kaibab trail which is 6 miles and stayed for sunset. It is climb back up (2000 feet), but it wasn’t bad at all. The funny part is I felt so tired when I hiked Bright Angle Trail about 20 years ago (I wasn’t a hiker). I guess I am growing younger. 🙂
