The area along I-70, west of Green River, UT, is wild. I’ve driven this stretch of highway when I was on my way up north. It was snowy. I couldn’t see much with poor visibility. However, it was enough to leave a strong impression that this is an area I wanted to revisit one day.
So, here I was, driving along this barren yet stunning region. As I stayed the place for hours, I wondered why it is not a park of some sort. Certainly it is amazing enough to be a park. There are lots of viewing areas along the route, yet there are only few roads, mostly unpaved, to take one into the vast wilderness. If I had a 4-wheel drive, I would love to take off and to get “lost” in the barren land and true nature.
