An adventure of my life time!

391. Seeing Sedona from the Air

I’ve hiked so many places in and around Sedona. A helicopter ride gave me a different perspective of the area. I like what I saw, of course. But I wouldn’t pay the expensive tour twice. This is a once-in-a-life-time experience. 🙂

387. Wildflowers in Sedona, this year only!

Last year, my friend and I went to California to look for wildflowers. Look what we have here in Sedona this year!

375. A White Christmas in Sedona

dsc00448

As my friend Libby wished for, we had a white Christmas in Sedona.

White snow on the red rock is beautiful—the good news.

The bad news is—she was snowed in for four days, and I couldn’t go to her house for Christmas dinner even though she’d invited me. The bridge to her community was flooded by creek water first and then by snow.

Well, my friend, think carefully before you wish for something. 🙂

374. Birds in Sedona

dsc00203

I had never thought Arizona is a good place for bird-watch until I lived in Sedona. There are a lot of birds in the area; some are very pretty. I’ve seen quite a few even in my backyard.

358. Still Having Fun in Sedona

IMG_8684

This summer has been very hot. But I’ve managed to hike despite the uncomfortable temperature. There were a few days we had over 100 degree (108 one day!) and we had to start hiking early in the morning (start 6 or 6:30).

Since I’ve taken a lot of pictures of Sedona before, I’m just a little too lazy to take my camera with me. These were taken by Libby and Jeanie, two “golden girlfriends” of mine. We bushwhacked up to a cool rocky wall and a sunny saddle today. Just to show you I’m still active and having fun. 🙂
